From the Author

We strove to create a work that was different from the usual law-school textbook.  We aimed to have it appeal to all readers, for whom it would be both an interesting read and the best available reference book on firearms law and policy.  It is both the first book of its kind, and, to date, the most comprehensive one on the topic.  We hope that  it will also be a collectible/aspirational book--one that its owners will display on their bookshelves with pride, even if they do not read it through from beginning to end!  Finally, every owner is entitled to the four additional online chapters, out in 2014.
