The Fireless Dragon (Learn to Read in CAPITAL Letters and Lowercase)

Once upon a time, there was a little dragon named Pascual who was sad because he couldn’ t breathe fire. Until one day he became friends with some children from the town of Olot and they had an idea: there were volcanoes in the town,and volcanoes have fire. Fourth story from the Learn to Read collection in UPPERCASE and lowercase letters, which is arranged according to reading difficulty, number 1 being the easiest and number 9 the most challenging. Each page contains the same text twice: above in lowercase letters and below in CAPITAL LETTERS (uppercase). It teaches capital letters and makes the change towards lowercase easier. At the end of the book, you can find a message to think about. The collection is designed to learn to read and is arranged according to reading difficulty.

Maria Grau i Saló (El Vendrell, 1949). She currently lives in Barcelona. She has a degree in philology and has worked for many years in education. One of her passions is writing stories for young people and children. She has published for Editorial el Pirata, for Columna and for Garsineu Edicions. In 2003 she won the Children's Storytelling Prize at the XIV Sant Jordi Night, in Perpinyà. Quim Bou, born in Vidreres (La Selva), in 1971, studied at Emilia Xargay's workshop, in Barcelona Fine Arts and at the Joso School. For many years he has published comics (Cavall Fort, Ed Dolmen ...), illustrations of textbooks, short stories and juvenile novels (Editorial el Pirata, Animallibres ...), posters, triptychs and any work related to drawing. During the holidays, he gets up at six in the morning, with his wife and the dog, to go on excursions to the mountains. They are crazy, these cartoonists!
