The First Anchors: A Prequel to The Veilbound Chronicles

Before the world forgot the gods, the gods made a choice.

As belief fades and myths slip into memory, the gods face extinction. Their solution is desperate—and dangerous: bind themselves to human children known as Anchors, vessels meant to carry belief when the world no longer will.

At first, it works.

Power returns. Gods endure.

But survival comes at a cost no one was prepared to pay.

Memories vanish. Childhoods fracture. Some Anchors fade quietly. Others fail completely—erased as if they never existed. As the Veil between worlds tightens, gods argue, laws are forged, and a terrible lie is told to protect the future.

And somewhere in the spaces between belief and forgetting, a city begins to form—built from everything the world has lost.

The First Anchors is a myth-based fantasy prequel about sacrifice, forgotten gods, and the consequences of choosing survival over truth. Dark but hopeful, quiet yet powerful, it reveals the origins of the Veil and the rules that will one day be broken.

This story stands alone—but it is only the beginning.

The Veilbound Chronicles await.
