This one is about "man's best friend,'' the dog & covers a wide variety of breeds, in 45 pages with decorative endpapers & illustrations throughout. A FIRST EDITION, ninth printing, from 1949, this hardcover 8vo (7.25" x 8.75") has tan cloth-covered boards lettered in with black stamped bone design & lettering to front & spine. Condition is Fine: extremely clean, pages slightly off-white but completely unmarked. Binding strong & straight, hinges secure, corners crisp. The unclipped DJ (with orig. $1.95 price intact to front flap) is VG-, with a 2" missing section at head of spine, lesser chipping at other corners & lower spine; nicely protected in clear mylar cover free!
