An accomplished science and nature illustrator, Patricia J. Trained as a research scientist, Donald M. Silver has written more than 80 books for students of all ages and for teachers. He has won numerous awards, including the Children's Science Writing Award in Physics and Astronomy from the American Institute of Physicists. He and Patricia J.
