Stated fourth printing. Very uncommon edition of this Hughes children's book with intact dust jacket. Jacket is bright and remarkably unfaded, with several chips and breaks to upper edge. Large chip (3/4" by 1/2") to upper edge of front panel, uneven 1.5" long chip to upper edge at spine, head of spine has break that extends (1/2") onto rear panel. Altogether these chips, because of their location, are relatively unobtrusive, and the jacket is still quite attractive. Book is well-bound and clean. Former owner's signature to upper corner of front free endpaper, and upper corner of title page. Pages are crisp, untoned, and otherwise unmarked.
