Me First: I wasn't Born to please anyone

Me First
I Wasn’t Born to Please Anyone
Are you exhausted from being the reliable one?
The understanding one.
The one who always says yes.

This book is not about becoming selfish.
It’s about becoming self-respecting.

If you’ve ever:

Said yes when your whole body wanted to say no

Apologized for having needs

Over-explained yourself just to avoid conflict

Felt guilty for wanting more

Shrunk yourself to keep others comfortable

Then this book is for you.

In Me First, Ana Duma dismantles the silent conditioning that taught you your worth depends on how useful, agreeable, and available you are to others.

This is not a surface-level self-help guide.
It is a wake-up call.
Inside, you’ll learn:

Why people pleasing is rooted in fear, not kindness
How over-explaining destroys your authority
The hidden cost of being “the strong one”
Why guilt shows up when you start choosing yourself
How to say no without spiraling into anxiety
How to build boundaries that don’t collapse under pressure
How to stop setting yourself on fire to keep others warm

This book will challenge you.
It will confront you.
And it will free you.
You are not cold.
You are not rude.
You are not wrong for knowing your worth.

It’s time to stop asking for permission.
It’s time to stop shrinking.
It’s time to choose yourself.

Unapologetically.
