Scarce Early Imprint, only 1 copy on Worldcat with George Holton, St. Louis, MO publisher. Duodecimo, full leather over boards, gilt lettering and design on spine. Collection of poetry and prose assembled for the purpose of teaching English in schools. Good, front cover loose but still attached, foxing on pages, tear on rear cover at top edge of spine, lettering on spine faded, wear to leather, scuffs and scrapes, bumped corners, edgewear, bookstore stamps and stickers on endpapers.
