First Collection

This is the first collection of collective poems and prose written by membersof the Dawson family.

The author, Joseph Dawson, whose pen name is Jay Dee was born in Kingston, Jamaica WI and immigrated to this country some twenty years ago. He has an associate degree, is married and a father of three sons, two of whom has work included herein. Many of these poems were written years ago when his wife's absence away from home prompted the exchange of letters and ultimately his answers in poetry.Poems such as: 'I heard sweetheart that you have found and fell in love with someone new' was no more than an imagined stretch of jealously. Again there is the line 'I want my wife ere the puff of life be ta'en from me' tells of the void left since she has been gone.This work, a First Collection, includes poems by my sons Ricardo and Marlon are expressions, of thoughts, feelings and emotions on the many nuances of love. We hope that our readers may be able to find a poem that relates to some experience of their own.This work is dedicated to my wife, Winona
