Circa 1881. Translated from the German of J. N. Buchmann by Rev. Richard Brennan. Original brown embossed cloth with gilt titles and decoration. 258 clean and bright pages illustrated throughout. Previous owners remembrance dedication issued from 89 Leeson Street, Dublin on the 12th of June 1885, pencil written dedication on the rear endpaper and on the first endpaper dated June 1909. Boards are slightly rubbed and faded with time consistent with age and slightly bumped on the corners but remain firm and intact. Usual toning and age appreciation should be expected. Overall a well preserved scarce compact original pocket-size.
