First Festivals: Ramadan

Ramadan Mubarak, the month of Ramadan has arrived! Celebrate and learn about Ramadan with this adorable, lift-the-flap board book.

When the first crescent of a new moon of the ninth month appears in the sky, it is time for the holy month of Ramadan to begin! Little readers can lift the flap on each page to learn about the traditions, foods, and ways that people celebrate this special holiday. Ramadan is about spending time helping others and being thankful for family and friends; and readers will learn about this as well as other important traditions of the holiday including fasting, eating dates at iftar (the evening meal), attending tarawih (night prayer), and celebrating Eid. This is an adorable, novelty board book for babies and toddlers with simple, informative language and vibrant illustrations that celebrate Ramadan and Eid-al-Fitr.
