Mira Halden writes emotionally layered fiction that explores the quiet power of memory, migration, and multigenerational legacy. Born into a family shaped by displacement and resilience, she is drawn to stories that unfold at the intersection of personal history and cultural identity. Her debut two-part novel, The Last Thanksgiving (First Harvest and Final Feast), spans over a century of American life, following an immigrant family from their first meal in a tenement kitchen to a fractured modern-day reunion-and the secrets that survive across generations. Through lyrical prose and deeply human characters, Mira captures the fragile rituals that hold families together, even when the past threatens to pull them apart. When not writing, she can be found researching forgotten recipes, interviewing elders for oral histories, or walking city streets with a notebook in her pocket. She believes every kitchen holds a story, and every story deserves a table.
