An official publication of the Court of General Quarter Sessions of the Peace created in 1764 for administration of districts of Province. In 1791 there were 27 districts created in Lower Canada but in 1832 the Montreal Court was replaced by the Montreal City Council. Early publications by the Court are very scarce.
