Earth Was Never Our:

Two million years ago, something came to Earth.

Long before the first cities rose, before humanity recorded its first history, an ancient insectoid civilization crossed the stars and discovered a young, fertile planet. They studied its oceans, reshaped parts of its ecosystem, buried impossible machines beneath its surface—and then vanished.

Humanity eventually emerged, built civilizations, fought wars, conquered continents, and reached toward the stars believing Earth belonged to us.

We were wrong.

Now, after two million years, the original inhabitants are coming home.

Astronomers first detect what appears to be a cluster of objects entering the solar system. There are no radio transmissions. No demands. No attempt at communication. The enormous vessels simply continue toward Earth with terrifying precision.
