It has been supposed that the principles of chemistry as applied to agriculture were too complicated to be understood by any but those who had a knowledge of inorganic chemistry; yet we feel assured, that, following out the instructions of this work of an hundred pages, even children may early and effectively be instructed in the elementary principles of chemistry as they are applicable to agriculture. This work should be at once introduced into all our schools." - The School and Family Gazette.John Emerson Kent (1810-1889), Professor of Materia Medica and Therapeutics in the Penn Medical University of Philadelphia.
