Gold titles on dark brown leather spine with lighter brown cloth covers, 182 pages plus 12 pages of ads for other publications. This is a later printing of material originally copyright 1851. There are extensive pencil and inked notes on the first few pages including the first page of the preface but the text itself is largely free from marks. There is some light foxing. Something indecipherable has been written on the front cover and there is some rubbing to edge of spine but the cover remains tight and functional.
