My First Passover Board Book (My First series). This item is unavailable. My First Passover Board Book (My First series)

Six new titles in the top selling My First series that continue our focus on early language development. Introduce babies and toddlers to the most important holiday in the Jewish year with this delightful addition to the My First books. Helping your child count the candles on the menorah and pointing out the Hebrew letters on a dreidel will aid in building early learning skills while the scenes of children acting out the Passover story give insight into the holiday's traditions.

Like other entries in the publisher's My First series, DK's My First Passover Board Book uses photographs and mostly self-contained spreads to introduce core ideas and concepts. Costumed children, for example, mime the roles of Moses, Pharaoh and the fleeing Jews, and a box of matzoh meal illustrates the notion of "special Kosher for Passover food." Explanations may seem a bit dumbed-down, as in the identification of the sixth plague as "nasty illness" (depicted with a head shot of a boy with red spots drawn on his face).
