Corners and spine ends modestly bumped, very good in a slightly spine-sunned very good dust jacket with a few faint stains on front panel and a few small chips and tears, mainly at spine ends and flap folds. Essays on country life from a New Yorker transplanted to Vermont.

You have to admire how Perrin lets the language break down into little fragments, hard stones left by a receding glacier.
