Born in Montclair, New Jersey, Ms. Jean Embry spent most of her formative years in and around Valley Forge, Pennsylvania. She now resides in Augusta, Georgia, (retired from the Department of Defense in 1995) and is currently a professor of Psychology at Paine College. In addition, she is in great demand as a professional storyteller and motivational speaker. Ms. Embry can really spin a yarn! She is a Past District Governor of Georgia (District 14), having spent over 22 years in Toastmasters. Her verbal skills and stage presence also come into play with her poetry. Read them "out loud" and you will "feel" the cadence of her poems.
Ms. Embry has lived and worked in Europe and traveled extensively worldwide. In her local community, she serves on many boards, and spends numerous hours as a volunteer, teaching leadership and speaking skills to adults and young people and tutoring reading, writing and math at the elementary school level.
Along her life's journey, she has earned two masters degrees and a doctorate, and has become a Lay Episcopal Minister and Licensed Lay Preacher of children's sermons. She showers you with God's Blessings and hopes you will look forward to more Pieces of the Puzzle.
