The First Prayer Book Of Edward VI: Compared With The Successive Revisions Of The Book Of Common Prayer (1877)

The First Prayer Book of Edward VI is a historical book that compares the original version of the Book of Common Prayer, which was used during the reign of King Edward VI in England, with the successive revisions that followed. Written by James Parker in 1877, the book provides a comprehensive description of the liturgy, prayers, and other religious practices that were used during the early years of the English Reformation. The author examines the changes that were made to the original text over time, and provides insights into the political and religious motivations behind these revisions. The book is a valuable resource for scholars of English history, theology, and literature, as well as for anyone interested in the development of the Church of England and the evolution of religious practices in the English-speaking world. Also A Concordance To The Rubricks In The Several Editions. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
