(1836, The Fifth Edition, with considerable improvements and additions) xvi, 326 pp., 10 folding plates; matching simple calf bindings rubbed at extremities and second has an ink(?) spot on back cover, both signed by some member of the Ayshford Sanford family (first initial illegible but not William or Edward) and dated March 10th 1838, light general age toning to interiors with occasional light age staining, overall a very good group; only a part of the diverse interests of the great British polymath (he invented the word "Scientist") and longtime Master at Trinity College.
