See photos for condition details. Hardcover with dust jacket that still has the original price of $2.50 on the front flap. DJ is toned and scuffed/soiled, with numerous chips and tears. Some tears measure over an inch and the front cover has a large piece missing from the bottom. The gray cloth boards underneath shows minor soiling spotting but corners are still sharp. The internal binding is good, no hinge issues. No signatures or bookplates, no library markings, no handwriting, nothing torn or loose. Text pages are clean but the end pages shows a few faint smudge marks. The copyright page shows only the publication date of 1941 but the last page (192) has a number eight at the end of the last paragraph, which indicates a later printing.
