Moderately worn and soiled with rubbing to spine. Pencil inscription "Rare/ Best guide to/ Early NJ Laws/ + Acts of Assembly" to front pastedown, otherwise internally clean. $50. * This report details the condition and location of New Jersey's public records at the end of the 19th century. It confirms that many of the earliest colonial government records, including patents, deeds, and commissions, were stored in the office of the Secretary of State in Trenton. The report was intended to serve as a guide to early New Jersey laws and acts of the Assembly, making it a valuable reference for historians and legal scholars.
