Complete in three volumes. Volume 1: In Search of the Picturesque: Volume 2: In Search of Consolation: Volume 3: In Search of a Wife. Illustrated with 80 fine hand-colored plates by Rowlandson. Tall 8vo full polished calf by Root. Spines with 5 raised bands and with gilt decorations in compartments. Green and red morocco spine labels. Boards with triple gilt rules and with gilt-decorated turn-ins. Contents clean and fresh with the plates especially bright. Some light flaking to the joints and tips; front joint of volume one cracked but sound, else a fine set, beautifully preserved.
