Book #4 in the n the 20-book YA series penned by under the same pseudonym as the author of the Hardy Boys, featuring intrepid young aviator, Ted Scott. The actual principal author, John W. Duffield, who also contributed to the Don Sturdy and Bomba the Jungle Boy series, was a "conscientious student of aeronautics." With the earlier red cloth binding (not the later tan), this is a slightly later printing of the 1927 FIRST EDITION, liisting to Self & to HB#3 in front matter, but to TS#12 in rear list of other boys' series titles. In 216 pages with glossy (not plain) frontispiece by Walter S. Rogers. Condition is VG: very clean & bright, binding strong & straight, hinges intact. Interior pages show modest tanning, commensurate with age; foxing to external page edges only. Very mild corner bumping & rubbing. Former owner's name in pen on ffep, else unmarked NO DJ. A handsome copy! Our photos depict the EXACT book you will receive from us--never "stock" images of books we don't actually have!
