The First Thousand Days (Paperback)

Paperback. The First Thousand Days, a compelling novel based on Christian Bible history and culture, breathes life into the story of Paul's first missionary journey. This thrilling work of biblical fiction begins in Antioch during the earliest days of Christianity. Paul is falsely accused of a crime, and the scandal forces Paul to flee the city with his lawyer, John Mark, and Barnabas, his patron. The three men travel through Cyprus, Anatolia, Iconium, Lystra, and back again, encountering some who hunger to hear the good news about the risen savior and others who denounce them as heretics. As the trio endure floods, partisan attacks, beatings, and dissension among the community of believers, Paul persists in his mission to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ. In the tradition of New Testament biographies and based on the gospels, Acts, and Paul's letters, The First Thousand Days imagines the course of the apostle's adventures and offers fresh insight into his profound impact upon Christianity.
