Me First!: The Unapologetically Selfish Guide to Building and Living a Life You Actually Love

You were not put on this planet to be agreeable. To fit in. To live a "good" life for the sake of others' approval. And yet, somewhere along the way, that's exactly where you found yourself.

That changes today.

Me First! The Unapologetically Selfish Guide to Building and Living a Life You Actually Love is a rebellious call to action that places you, your desires, your dreams, and your happiness, back at the center of your existence. Fully. Fiercely. Without apology.

You'll dismantle the conditioning that taught you to shrink, and rebuild your body, mind and soul from the inside out. You'll rewire a nervous system trained to prioritize belonging over authenticity. You'll stop gaslighting your intuition. You'll learn to set boundaries without guilt, make decisions without second-guessing, and pursue your dreams without waiting for permission.

The Me First! philosophy is simple: when you are deeply rooted in your own truth, you become more generous, not less. More powerful, not aggressive. More magnetic, not manipulative.

You get one shot at this life, and if you're ready to stop living a version that no longer fits and start building the one you've been dreaming about, this book will show you how.

Jennifer Thomé is best known for the Me First! Method, a neuroscience-backed framework that helps high-achieving people-pleasers stop betraying themselves and start building lives they actually love. A former CIA analyst and Harvard-trained coach, she spent years trained to read what people aren't saying, a skill she now turns on the quiet self-abandonment that runs underneath burnout, over-functioning, and the fawn response. She is the author of Me First! The Unapologetically Selfish Guide to Building and Living a Life You Actually Love, which reframes selfishness as a sacred practice. She guides readers through a Body-Mind-Soul process to reveal their true life's purpose, and then to build the strength, courage and optimism needed to live it. Her work blends rigorous science (nervous system regulation, neuroplasticity) with spirituality to create transformation that is both rapid and lasting.Jennifer built this method not from a position of comfort but while navigating real hardship as a single parent, which is why it holds up under pressure. She coaches and speaks internationally on reclaiming personal power and rewriting the stories that keep the most capable and worthy people stuck in smallness. When she isn't writing or speaking, Jennifer runs a non-profit developing diverse voices in the media. She splits her life across the US, Germany, and China, enjoying the best each place (and every place in between) has to offer.
