He began his teaching career at a public school in Brooklyn, NY, and has taught English and language arts in New York, Massachusetts, and Virginia. Sean is a Co-President of the Assembly for the Teaching of English Grammar―a grammar-focused affiliate of the National Council of Teachers of English. He is the founder and editor of the Journal of Literacy Innovation and the editor of the Virginia English Journal.
