DESCRIPTION: Here are two Original chromolithographic Color print plates of fish. # (1) Mascalonge (Lucius Masquinongy) with a paper size of 8 by 11 inches. & # (2) Cisco (Aroyrosomus Artedi, Le Sueur) from Hemlock Lake with a paper size of 7 1/2 by 11 inches * Sherman Foote Denton (1856-1937) was one of the very finest of later artists of natural history. He completed these plates documenting the various species of fish for the state of New York Fisheries, Game and Forest Commissions Annual Reports. (1897 to 1913) * The condition of this plates is good and the paper has naturally aged. Each original chromolithograph will be inserted into an archival plastic from Brodart and shipped as a flat package with backing sheets on the top and bottom. * CONDITION: Good.
