Fish That Swim

Set against the backdrop of the English legal profession, this story begins in 1991, when an arrogant, young solicitor, Andrew Fitzgerald, is on the verge of becoming a partner in his family's long established law firm. The promotion is in danger of being postponed, when a former employee makes allegations of misconduct against Fitzgerald, in her claim for unfair dismissal. Almost a quarter of a century later, Fitzgerald is now an accomplished and very successful criminal law solicitor. When the playboy son of a millionaire property developer is charged with murder, Fitzgerald faces the most difficult, but potentially rewarding case of his entire professional career. This is one case that he must win. A not guilty verdict would result in untold benefits and new business via a grateful father. The dangers behind a guilty verdict could be devastating. How far will Fitzgerald be prepared to bend the rules to increase the chances of an acquittal?
