About the Author
Steve Heussner is passionate about helping companies and their employees become as healthy and productive as they can be.
He is the founder and president of American Construction Benefits Group, Ltd. (ACBG), a captive insurance company that issues contractual indemnity insurance to its member companies. He is also the founder of Contractors Risk Management Services, Inc. (CRMS), which provides employee benefit risk management services to contractors.
Steve began his career as a financial analyst before becoming an insurance agent in 1988. Over the years, Steve has won numerous company and industry awards. In 1996, he formed his own insurance agency. He holds a degree in Geological Engineering from Princeton University.
Steve is a member of the Million Dollar Round Table, the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, and the Construction Financial Management Association. He serves on the leadership, insurance and legislative committees of the Texas Branch of the Associated General Contractors (ACG), Highway, Heavy, Utilities & Industrial Branch, and is active in Quoin, the Dallas/East Texas and Forth Worth branch of the AGC, as well as many other industry groups and initiatives.
Steve and his wife, Risa, live in McKinney, Texas with their children, Eric and Kimberly. Steve enjoys weight training, running, cycling, ice hockey, skiing, cooking, reading, and public speaking.
