Suzanne Nottingham is one of the nation's leading skating instructors. By coauthoring the IISA Level 1 Manual with the International In-Line Skating Association and authoring the Level 3 Fitness Certification, she led the effort to merge the fitness and in-line skating industries. Her background includes 17 years as a ski instructor at Mammoth Mountain, California, and experience as an advisor to both Rollerblade and Nike.
Nottingham lives in Mammoth Lakes, California, with her husband Peter, daughter Taylor and son Lucas. In addition to winter sports, they enjoy in-line skating, mountain biking, hiking, and gardening.
Frank J. Fedel is an exercise specialist and researcher at the Henry Ford Heart and Vascular Institute in Dearborn Heights, Michigan. He conducted the first research study to examine the cardiovascular responses of competitive in-line skaters during skating. In addition to having a scientific focus, Fedel himself has been a very successful competitive in-line skater since 1991. He is a member of the American College of Sports Medicine.
Frank Fedel lives in Royal Oak, Michigan, with his wife, Helen, who is also a competitive in-line racer. He enjoys cycling, mountain biking, and weight training in addition to in-line skating.
