Five Fun and Meaningful Crafts for Kids: Recycle | Forage | Repurpose

This little book collects five fabulous and fun projects (plus their extended side projects!) for you and your kids, stimulating a complex range of skills, creativity, understanding, exploration, and knowledge. Mostly made with recycled materials and things you find in parks and woods, each of these projects creates something that will join your household for a while, because it has a purpose. These little adventures help children to:

• Develop creative and innovation skills
• Become familiar with project planning
• Make their own toys
• Create art materials
• Respect recycled materials and objects and give them new life
• Work with nature, water, heat, magnetism and more
• Slow down (together)
• All the while gaining confidence.

The projects all have long-term elements to them: They are ideal for spending quality time while preparing and collecting materials, and then a weekend afternoon or two to do them. Without rush, allowing for parties, exhaustion and other things that derail your plans, these five projects can carry you for one to two years.
Designed for working parents or caregivers, the ideas in this book cross different modern concepts, such as slowing down, circular design, foraging, homesteading, as well as timeless classics such as respect and simplicity.
