Five Letters: Addressed To Abraham Rees (1783)

""Five Letters: Addressed to Abraham Rees"" is a book written by Martin Madan in 1783. The book is a series of letters addressed to Abraham Rees, a Welsh nonconformist minister and editor of the ""Cyclopaedia"" (a comprehensive encyclopedia). The letters discuss various religious and philosophical topics, including the nature of God, the role of faith in salvation, and the relationship between reason and revelation. Madan argues for a more literal interpretation of the Bible and criticizes the prevailing rationalist approach to religion. He also defends the doctrine of original sin and the necessity of divine grace for salvation. The book provides an insight into the religious debates of the time and is an important work in the history of theology. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
