Dr. Thomas E. Rohrer, MD is a leading dermatologic surgeon specializing in cosmetic and surgical dermatology. He was ranked among the Top Twenty Dermatologists in the United States by Newsweek―the highest-ranked dermatologist in Massachusetts and the highest-ranked board-certified Mohs surgeon in the country.
Dr. Rohrer is a past President of both the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery and the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery. A magna cum laude graduate of Georgetown University and the Georgetown University School of Medicine, he received the Michael J. Caruso Award. He completed an internal medicine internship at Yale University Hospital, a dermatology residency through Boston University–Tufts, and a Mohs and Dermatologic Surgery fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania. Prior to SkinCare Physicians, he served for eight years as Chief of Dermatologic Surgery at Boston University Medical Center and the Boston Veterans Administration Hospital, and as Director of the Boston University Center for Cosmetic and Laser Surgery.
