The Flash And The Thunder: From The Worlds Of The Orb

Short Urban Fantasy tale, with minor historic reference to a time and place where evil must, once again, be confronted. The late 1950's Rocky Mountains of Colorado are about as far as one can get from the horrors of WW2 and Korea, an era of victory and prosperity. But our young hero must confront the incarnation of Fear that never dies.

I was a welder for 37 years... Many of the ideas for stories came from watching the bright glow of the molten pool of metal formed by the arc of my TIG torch. The idea for the singularity in many of my stories, The Orb came from the ball of energy pushed along over miles and years of welding metal.
