Synopsis
Floppi suddenly felt a tingling in his legs and knew it was time to go, as fast as he could, to Waratah Wood and The Pine Forest. At that very moment, his thoughts were echoed by a tickling and a whispering in his ear.
“You must take the lead, Floppi! The pine tree families are calling you. They need you to come right now!”
The pony shook his head and watched as a small furry creature with big ears dropped gently to the floor. The bossy little being looked up at Floppi’s face with his two big, black eyes and shouted in the loudest whisper ever, “DID YOU HEAR ME? You need to go NOW!”
It was one of the Tree Translators, a tiny Mango bat.
There is a wondrous place not far from Earth, but different in so many ways. Kind, supernatural beings live there, like Moon, a wise, young fairy girl, and her best friend Floppi, a magical pony and refugee from Earth.
Floppi, Moon and all the Mimbals care deeply for one another and for their plants, who, after all, have families, friends, ambitions, and feelings, just as we all do. Life is calm and peaceful on Mimbalup.
Or it is until something out of the ordinary happens…
Floppi and Moon of Mimbalup is a stunningly illustrated chapter book set in a serene imaginary world. In this story, aided by their closest animal friends, Floppi and Moon go on an urgent rescue mission to help the proud Pine Trees of Waratah, tragically being destroyed by invading Humanders from Earth.
