This story takes place in a small village, where everyone lived close to one another, as a family. It was an era when walking was as common as a breath of air. It was done for many reasons. To name a few: for comfort and pleasure, for leisure and work, and for meeting acquaintances and fellowship. This story is about a young woman growing into an age of choices and decisions that will affect the outcome of her future. They taught her to treat all people with fairness and kindness, especially those of a respectable age and those who are less fortunate. Growing up in an environment where morals were important and hammered into her, she felt this was an investment of protection she couldn't go wrong without.
