About the Author
Hallye Bone began quilting in 1967 and has been teaching students how to applique for more than thirty years. She now teaches quilt making techniques throughout the U.S. She is the author of Caring for Your Quilts, a classic reference book, published by Kansas City Star Books.
Hallye has written for quilting magazines for 15 years. She is an appraiser of quilted textiles, certified by the American Quilter's Society in Paducah.
Hallye lectures and teaches workshops across the country about vintage quilts, quilts' history, and methods of quilt making. Her designs have appeared in national magazines. She quilts every day and repairs beloved quilted heirlooms for clients.
