Synopsis
In just under three hours this short allegorical novel will take you from the busy-ness of your mind into the peace of your heart. It is a deeply healing book, full of tenderness and love, about listening to and following your heart. Brandon Bays, International Bestselling Author of The Journey, says: "Neil guides us on a trip through life's emotions and illustrates the gift of love available to each of us when we open and surrender in our worst fears and realise the gift therein. Read this and be inspired." This book compares to the work of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, Khalil Gibran, Paulo Coelho, Marilynne Robinson and Richard Bach. It echoes the essential nature of the journey we all share - a journey with no beginning and no end; a journey that is, in truth, not a journey at all. Jonathan Horwitz, co-director of the Scandinavian Centre for Shamanic Studies, says the book is: "A beautiful allegory for our times of the seasons of our lives, of re-empowerment, and what it really means to be alive. This is a story to share with those you love." This book is appropriate for all ages - adults, young people and children. Mainly through word of mouth it's selling very well in the UK, mainland Europe and the US. It is also a school reader in northern Italy. He is now focusing much more on his work as an author and other heart-led pursuits. "After many years of very intense freelance writing work I am choosing to explore what really means most to me. This still includes freelance writing work, and this is hugely enriched by my increasingly busy work as an author, Journey Practitioner and podcast host. I am, as Joseph Campbell put it so beautifully, following my bliss." Neil del Strother Neil has an MA in Journalism, a Dip Psych and a BA in Politics and American Studies. He is a qualified Journey Practitioner (a powerful healing method) and has some experience of shamanism, including taking part in healing ceremonies with the Bushmen in the Kalahari Desert in Botswana. "In many ways my life is about becoming more conscious of, and letting go of, unhelpful behavioural patterns and beliefs and opening into presence, into what is, into life, and allowing this to flow and express itself through my writing, my Journey work and everything else I do. That is not to say that every moment is always a joyful celebration, but it is to say that I am living more and more from my heart, from openness, from love and presence, and from the wildness and chaos at the heart of creativity."
