Black and white covers bumped to corners and rubbed to all surfaces with some colour loss and age-tanning. Binding strong. Ffep with ownership signature and taped in square label reading "Special Prize presented by Mrs Constance Spry"; below this written on the page "FOR FLOWER DECORATION CHELTENHAM FLOWER SHOW 1938". Frontispiece colour illustration. 152pp., closing section of b/w photographs. Loosely inserted is an inside flap from Gallico's The snow goose, used as a bookmark. Constance Spry OBE (née Fletcher, previously Marr; 5 December 1886 3 January 1960) was a British educator, florist and author in the mid-20th century. This was her first book.
