New York. Greenberg: Publisher. 1952. First Edition. Octavo (7 1/2 x 5 1/2). 240 pp. Inscribed, signed, and dated by Jim Deren, he of the Angler's Roost in New York City, to a fellow angler on the front fly leaf. Text illustrations. Includes chapters on trout tackle, casting, dry-fly and wet-fly fishing, streamer and nymph fishing, fly tying chapters, favorite flies, etc. This title is in the mold of just a few worthy mid-twentieth century angling titles (John Atherton's The Fly and the Fish, A. J. McClane's The Practical Fly Fisherman, and Vince Marinaro's A Modern Dry Fly Code, come to mind). The book is bound in light blue cloth with dark blue titles on the spine. The book is in good condition with faded spine in a fair-to-good dust jacket with edge wear and chips.

If your book order is heavy or oversized, we may contact you to let you know extra shipping is required. My chosen shipping option is the U. S. Postal Service. USPS is the best in terms of service and cost efficiency. Overseas shipments are charged at cost. Other shipping options are available, such as UPS, FedEx, DHL, etc.; however, they are frightfully expensive.
