About the Author

Phil Shook, a Texas native, is a nationally known flyfishing writer and instructor whose stories have appeared in Field & Stream, Outdoor Life, Saltwater Fly Fishing, Fly Rod & Reel, Fly Fisherman, Texas Parks & Wildlife, amd other magazines. He has received two international awards from the Federation of Fly Fishers for his contributions to the literature of flyfishing. Co-author of Flyfishing the Texas Coast:Backcountry Flats to Cluewater, Phil has fished Texas waters for more than 50 years.
