Synopsis
In the first book of the Lindie Lou Adventure Series, a puppy named Lindie Lou is born in Saint Louis, Mo. She has no idea what adventures await her, whether it's a door left open, a fast ride in Joe's truck, or flying high on an airplane. This adorable puppy loves adventure, experiences new things and learns life lessons along the way. Come play with Lindie Lou and her brothers & sisters in the Puppy Playground. Travel with her to the City Museum and enjoy the thrall of a ten-story side. Join Lindie Lou on a puppy playdate, in a cave with kids from a local shelter. Then fly on an airplane with Lindie Lou where she meets Max, a wize dog who shows her the sites of Saint Louis, including the Gateway Arch, exotic animals in the Saint Louis Zoo, and fabulous Forest Park. Continue flying above the clouds to the Emerald City (Seattle, WA) where Lindie Lou will meet her new family. Lindie Lou is brave, develops self-esteem, courage, determination, and compassion for others. About the Author
Award-winning American author, Jeanne Bender began her writing career in Sheboygan, WI in the third grade. Jeanne, who loves kids, and loves to write, decided to create a children’s chapter book series. Her goal was to provide boys and girls with easy-to-read books for ages 5-8. Her aim is to encourage children to advance from picture books into their first chapter books. She writes fun-filled adventures, presented in a large font format, and includes color illustrations. Jeanne's cocker spaniel, named Lindie Lou inspired Jeanne to write the Lindie Lou Adventure Series books with adorable puppy characters who seek adventure. They encounter challenges and learn social-emotional life lessons (SEL), which are highlighted in red letters in each one of the books. Fun Facts, Quick Quiz, and a Calendar of Events are provided at the end of each book. To prepare for her undertaking, Jeanne created “Team Lindie Lou” a group of elementary school educators who advise her regarding age-appropriate subject matter. The Lindie Lou Adventure Series books are realistic, educational, and include downloadable learning activities on the Lindie Lou website. Twelve books are planned for the Lindie Lou Adventure series. Jeanne's ultimate goal is to “encourage children to discover the world through the eyes of Lindie Lou." Awarded: Mom's Choice Award-GOLD, received Story Monsters Ink seal of approval, Staff pick from Children’s Book Council, and considered a “safe read” by literacy associations, teachers and parents everywhere. Bender lives in Seattle, WA, San Diego, CA, and Cabo San Lucas, MX, but considers the universe her home.
