Flying Saucers Are Everywhere

This irreverent, satirical look at the never-ending flying saucer controversy lampoons the full spectrum of the UFO "invasion," from the ancient astronaut theories to the evolution of today's alien abduction "epidemic."

From the first chapter, "Wheelbarrows of the Gods," readers see how a close look at prehistoric myths from around the world reveal common threads in each account. McHugh relates how Noah and his sons inadvertently caused aliens to flood the Earth for forty days and nights; how extraterrestrials gave Nostradamus his power, and how they influenced the success of the 1969 New York Mets. He traces the evolution of the alien abduction epidemic and offers a tongue-in-cheek quiz to determine if you have been abducted without realizing it.

In this zany, satirical look at the UFO phenomenon, Tom McHugh uncovers the secrets behind the mysterious sightings and reported abductions by slimy-skinned alines to show us that Flying Saucers Are Everywhere. This book explains it all, from what they didn't tell you in history class about flying saucers to the big government cover-up and the secret of radar-resistant cheese. Incontrovertible new evidence reveals that aliens caused the biblical food, raised the pyramids of Egypt, and even influenced the success of the New York Mets in 1969! At last we learn the truth about the Bermuda Triangle (and other dangerous polygons) and those mystifying crop circles, and how Earth has become a major truck stop for aliens wishing to mate with humans and involve them in phony marketing schemes. With illustrations by John Kloss, Flying Saucers Are Everywhere holds nothing sacred in its quest to expose the fakery, foolishness, and fun of one of the most fascinating issues of our time. -- Midwest Book Review
