Mychal Wynn chronicles his journey from being given up for adoption, growing up in Chicago's south side urban ghetto, being a low-performing student throughout much of elementary and middle school, and barely graduating from one of Chicago's worst public high schools to go on to internationally acclaim as an author, publisher, enterpreneur, and educational consultant.

About the Author
Mychal Wynn (1956 - ) was born in rural poverty in Pike County Alabama, grew up in urban poverty in Chicago, IL, attended Chicago Public Schools, and graduated with honors from Northeastern University (Boston). He has taught middle school students in South Central Los Angeles, adult learners at the U.S. Department of Labor, youth in Los Angeles County Juvenile Halls and Camps, and as an educational consultant speaks to over 100,000 teachers, parents, and students annually in school districts throughout the U.S., Canada, the Caribbean, and Bermuda. He passionately believes that "Where you come from does not determine where you are going, only where you begin." [Follow Your Dreams]. Mr. Wynn currently serves as the CEO of the Foundation for Ensuring Access and Equity, a Georgia-based nonprofit organization committed to widening the primary-to-postsecondary pathway to college for all students.
