Food Glorious Food: The Official Cook Book from the ITV Show Containing over 100 of the Nation's Favourite Recipes (Cookery)

The companion to the major new ITV series, 'Food Glorious Food' includes over 100 family recipes for Britain's favourite dishes.

'...Hundreds of brilliant home-cooked recipes that come, not from a Michelin-starred restaurant, but from the kitchens of ordinary families.' -- Ben Rankin, Sunday Mirror

Every recipe tells a story, and every family has one - a recipe that tugs at your heartstrings, makes you laugh, brings back memories and sums up all that's great about food: its ability to delight our senses, bring people together and spread joy and happiness. Food Glorious Food the official book accompanying this major new ITV series presented by Carol Vorderman - is crammed full of these heart-warming and delicious recipes.

Packed full of dishes from ordinary members of the public, who fought their way through the regional heats and into the finals, the book features the food that we all love to cook and want to know how to cook. But each recipe has so much more to offer than just a list of ingredients and a set of cooking instructions, because each one is accompanied by the inspiring story of its creation.

With over a 100 recipes included, this cook book presents a wide range for any food lover, encompassing old favourites like Yorkshire Puddings, Cornish Pasties, Corned Beef & Bacon Hotpot and Bakewell Tart, alongside new and inventive fusions of flavours that simply have to be tasted. Some dishes incorporate quirky twists - like an extra ingredient that was originally added by mistake - while other recipes stick to time-honoured techniques, handed down through multiple generations of the same family.

Food Glorious Food is the definitive guide to the UK's best recipes, written for the people of Great Britain, by the people of Great Britain.
