A comprehensive book on food and nutrition includes mouthwatering stories, jokes, recipes, rumors, silly facts, and zany illustrations to make the science of food fun. Simultaneous.
Bill Haduch starts each morning with four prunes, an apple, and a banana. Fruit out of the way, he eats just about anything the rest of the day. He inherited a love for food and travel from his father, who will go anywhere and eat anything. Mr. Haduch is fascinated by the idea that the human body is the same all over the world, yet in Japan a typical breakfast is fish, in Trinidad it's mangoes, and in Cleveland it's doughnuts. "How can this be?" he wondered. Then he wrote "Food Rules!"
Mr. Haduch, long a science and technology writer, has published several books with Planet Dexter and Discovery Kids. A graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, he lives in Central New Jersey.
