Football Math: Touchdown Activities and Projects for Grades 4-8

Turn football fandom into math mastery. Football Math hooks grades 4–8 with real stats, scoreboards, and game-day scenarios to practice whole numbers, fractions, decimals, percents, integers, and data interpretation. Students solve routine and multi-step word problems, tackle non-routine “challenge” items, and complete mini-projects that apply math to authentic football contexts—everything from rushing leaders and field-goal percentages to “home-field advantage” and quarterback ratings. Includes an extensive Projects section (salaries, travel, record-keeping, comparisons) and a full Answer Key for easy grading. Ideal for class, small groups, enrichment, or homework.

Key Features:

• Engaging, sports-driven practice: Activities built from NFL/college/high-school football scenarios (records, team histories, box-score style tables).

• Covers core skills: Whole numbers, fractions, decimals, percents, and integers plus data analysis/interpretation.

• Non-routine problems & mini-projects: Heuristics, multi-step reasoning, and open-ended tasks promote real problem-solving.
