The Forbidden Line: Compassion Beyond the Sword

The Forbidden Line explores the ethical boundaries of warfare in Islam, grounded in prophetic teachings and divine law. It highlights Islam’s humane treatment of prisoners, civilians, and even enemy combatants—centuries before the emergence of modern humanitarian law.

The purpose of this book is to explore principles of humanity beyond the sword, challenging the world to look beyond hollow claims of civilizational superiority. It calls for honest reflection and collective action to stop the ongoing process of dehumanization in war.

Through powerful comparisons with international humanitarian law, it exposes the hypocrisy of modern powers—revealing how the Geneva Conventions, though noble in principle, fail in practice when virtue is absent among their signatories. From post-9/11 conflicts to the humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza, this book is a timely call to conscience.

A compelling read for anyone seeking justice, moral clarity, and a more humane future.
